Through the years, Tadiran Spectralink won international reputation as one of the major players in this field. Since its inception in 1976 as the Data Link Division of Tadiran Communications Group, Tadiran Spectralink has been Israel´s leading supplier of advanced data links for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), space platforms and guided weapons. In the early 1980´s Spectralink played a decisive role in developing the aerial and ground data link systems for the first operational UAVs in the world. 

Today, the company´s wireless communications products are in service in Israel´s most sophisticated technological systems and make a significant contribution to its defense capabilities. Many of these products are fielded worldwide, in some of the most modern armed forces.

Tadiran Spectralink´s product line includes standard clear and jam-resistant links, used mainly for command, telemetry and video transmissions.

Tadiran Spectralink UAV data link products are incorporated in the major UAV programs around the world. To date these links have accumulated more than 700,000 operational flight hours.

These links are used for maneuvering and tracking UAVs and guided weapons, and for transmission of real time data and/or video from the platform to ground, airborne and surface naval users.

Tadiran Spectralink can provide communications solutions tailored to meet each customer´s specific needs and requirements. These are available for all types of UAS, from Low Altitude Long Endurance (LALE) mini/micro vehicles, up to the most sophisticated High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) platforms, and from low to high-end characteristics.

These highly advanced data link systems incorporate digital transmission techniques for improved communication range and spectrum utilization, enabling the use of TDMA technology for control of multiple platforms.

Different levels of Jam-Resistant and Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) links are provided by use of each and/or a combination of advanced technologies. These include Direct Sequence/Spread Spectrum, Frequency Hopping, Error Detection and Correction, Data Interleaving, and robust synchronization techniques.
